26 October 2008 — Had a great time with this painting and all the while I sat at the easel, I had the feeling I was just holding the brush — that the canvas almost painted itself! When I gathered the material for this piece, I stood high above the valley on the Rim Road — and somehow when I look at this painting I have the feeling that I am “floating above” the landscape. Have decided that this completed canvas will be the “study” for a 48″x36″ canvas. ENJOY! — DC
