Studio #1611- “PEDERNAL” 24″x96″ Diptych (Work in Progress – the Glazes) — Thinning my oil colors with my painting medium (after letting the underpainting dry for at least a week to ten days), I cover the underpainting with glazes – transparent and semi-transparent colors. Trees: Prussian Blue, Burnt Sienna and some Chrome Oxide Green Opaque. Earth: Yellow Ochre, Rose Grey, Burnt Sienna and Dioxazine Purple for the shadows. Dry Shrubs: Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Chrome Oxide Green Opaque.
