Studio No. 2315 – NIGHTSKY WANDERERS – New 40″x40″ Work in Progress (Glazes) – Color Notes: Working glazes over the thoroughly dry underpainting. Glazes are oils (usually the darker colors) thinned to a medium transparency with painting medium (not turpentine). Foreground: Darkest darks are Prussian Blue, Burnt Sienna, Olive Green, some Italian Pink. Middle ground: Scumbling over the darker blue underpainting with a fairly dry bristle brush – Naples Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Permalba white, Rose Red and some Cadium Red.
