CANTO HONDO II (GLAZES)30’X40′ Original Oil on Belgian Linen
Glazes for the most part are dark, transparent colors that give an
oil painting depth. Light is refracted from underpainting
and bounces back through the colors to give the work a certain
luminosity. This step prepares the ground for opaque paints –
the middle tones and highlights.
